Gospel Reflection - Cycle A - 4th Sunday of Lent

My weekly reflection on the Sunday Gospel reading. In this video, I reflect on John 9:1-41, the healing of the blind man, the Gospel reading for the 4th Sunday of Lent in Cycle A, exploring the following topics:

- Archaeological support for the Gospel of John.
- Is illness a consequence of personal sin?
- The miracles of Jesus point toward the ultimate restoration of the natural world.
- The Gospel of John vs the Gnostics.
- What is the Sabbath?
- Blindness vs seeing: Many refuse to see despite the evidence being right before them.
- The cost of discipleship: The world attacks us when we receive the grace of God.
- Responding to Christ with worship.
- Being sent to proclaim the Good News.
